Layeredge has taken a step towards TGE by introducing proof of Human (POH) verification to reduce sybil. This is a critical step towards making the LayerEdge ecosystem credible enough. Remember, earlier reported on how to run the layeredge node on the desktop and CLI node. That phase ended a few days ago, and here we are, POH verification.
WHAT IS LAYEREDGE?
layeredge is said to be the first decentralized network that enhances the capabilities of Bitcoin Blockspace with ZK and BitVM. It is a DePIN project that identify the facts that most scaling solutions on Bitcoin are sidechains, while almost no blockchains or rollups currently settle on Bitcoin. Layeredge profer a solution by utilizing the BitVM for Trust-minimized settlement on Bitcoin: While leveraging proof aggregation of zk proofs from various blockchains and rollups. Thereby enabling them to tap into Bitcoins security by settling at up to 1% of the cost. Subsequently, layeredge is on a mission to unlock Bitcoin as a bedrock for all blockchains/rollups and apps.
HOW TO DO THE LAYEREDGE POH VERIFICATION
Here is the step by step guide on how to complete this verification successfully:
- Go to your Layeredge account.
- Scroll down to the lower left and click on the POH
- Connect your wallet you used in running the Layeredge node
- Complete the proof of human, POH, verification on any of the pro options then choose to do the other 2 which is optional. We have binance, bybit, upbit, OKX, kucoin level 2 verification.
- A level 2 verification on any of these exchanges means that you must have done first verification. Then a second verification which requires proof of address such as bank statement, utility bill, phone bills etc. If you’ve not done this previously, proceed to get any of the required documents and complete your level 2 verification on any of the exchanges.
- Proceed to click on the desired exchange you want to do the POH with. E.g, Binance, a pop-up of zkpass will come on. download the app on your mobile and scan a QR code or download the extension.
You may need VPN at some point here. - following, YOU will be prompted to login to the exchange through the ZKPASS.
- Afterwhich, a pop promting you to start verification. Once verificartion is done, it will automatically redirect you back to the POH verification dashboard where you will see that the verification was done successfuly.
- Others are optional. You need just one of these verifications to scale through. That will be all.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, this is excellent at checkmating Sybil. However, a level 2 verification is a little too much, as most users are stuck at the level 1 verification on their exchanges.
